Overview
- Newcastle is the second oldest city in Australia which has a coastline that will take your breath away.
- As a former steel works town Newcastle has had to work hard to prove its beauty, as it has been renowned as a steel town for many years and people didn’t want to visit.
- Today Newcastle has come alive and Pineapple Pedals wants to show you the beauty it has to offer.

Where will we meet?
- Meet us at the Station, corner of Scott Street and Watt Street, you will see the PP Bike Gang waiting for your arrival.
What should you bring?
- Bring yourself, and be ready for some fun, laughter and good times.
- Please wear closed-toe shoes ‘Safety First’ (No Jandals, Thongs, Flip Flops or Japanese Slippers).
- Camera/Phone; we all want that one picture that is Instagram worthy or just something to create memories
- Sunscreen (don’t stress if you forget, we will have your back).
- Hats can be worn under your helmet or you can wear it around when we stop. (bring it just in case)’
- Wear clothes (preferably comfortable ones and suitable for the weather.
What's the age limit?
- We cater for everyone 16 years and older. All our bikes are a standard size with adjustable seat height. You are never too old to ride, it’s not a race.

How to I book a bike tour?
- Please book online on top of the page, our booking system live is up to date.
- If you want to book as a group or have a specific requirement please contact us via phone, email.
What if it’s raining?
- When it’s sunny, we ride! When it rains, we ride! However, we do ask that you dress appropriately for the weather.
- If it is a wet and cold day, please dress in something warm and dry. Pineapple Pedals will provide ponchos in the event of rain.
Do I need to book before hand?
- Bookings are essential as we have a limited number of bikes and we don’t want you to miss out.
- You can book through our online booking system. It’s simple, easy and secure.
- No paper required, just an email confirmation.
What is provided?
- We provide you with a bike from the PP Bike Gang. They all have their own names and personality, so if you want to ride a particular bike please let us know at the time of booking.
- Every bike also comes with a basket, to keep your personal items in whilst riding.
- You must wear a helmet by law, which has an approved sticker that meets the Australian and New Zealand Standard. Lucky for you, we will provide you with a helmet that meets the standards. All helmets can be adjusted to ensure the perfect fit.
- Every rider will receive a free stainless-steel water-bottle. So there is no need to bring water as you can fill up your new bottle along the way.
