Kraljevo and its surroundings are a cradle of Serbian state and culture, situated 180 km southern from Belgrade, today's capital. In the middle ages this area was the centre of the Serbian state, Raska, ruled by the holy dynasty of Nemanjic. Studenica Monastery, the highlight of the tour, was founded by this dynasty and it is the largest and the richest Serbian Orthodox monastery. In 1986 UNESCO included Studenica monastery on the list of World Heritage Sites.

Until the beginning of the 19. Century Tutin was only a caravan station. The settlement was greatly developed in the 20th Century and had at the beginning of the 21st Century already a population of 30.000 people. Cyclists are fascinated by the unspoiled nature of Pester plateau on the way from Tutin to Sjenica. The largest plateau in the Balkan Peninsula represents the unique, splendid and incomparable oasis in the heart of Europe.

Jadovnik is a mountain on the western edge of Pester plateau, between towns of Prijepolje and Sjenica. The frescoe called "White Angel" is considered to be one of the great achievements in the European painting of the Middle Age period.
