Itinerary

Day 1Los Angeles
Arrive at any time. Enjoy free time in Santa Monica, where the hostel is located, and check out the famous pier or hit the beach. Consider booking pre-tour accommodation if you'd like to see all of the popular sights in the area.
Day 2Los Angeles/Lake Havasu
Be on celebrity-watch while passing by a few popular sites on the way out of California's most glamourous city. Hike among the boulders and famous Joshua trees, then cool off in the crystal-clear waters of the Colorado River at Lake Havasu.
Day 3Lake Havasu/Grand Canyon
Visit the mighty Grand Canyon. Take short hikes and enjoy sunset at the edge of the canyon. In the morning, discover something unexpected, the London Bridge, in Lake Havasu City. Continue across vast desert landscapes to one of the earth's greatest on-going geological spectacles: the Grand Canyon. Take short hikes at the most spectacular gorge in the world and enjoy a pizza dinner at the rim as you view the stunning sunset.
Day 4Grand Canyon/Las Vegas
Enjoy a bird's-eye view of the Grand Canyon with an optional helicopter flight. Travel Route 66, then explore Las Vegas along the strip and opt for a VIP party limo experience. For our night in Las Vegas, we stay close to the action in a hotel in the city centre.
Day 5Las Vegas/Sierra Nevadas
Visit a land of extremes in Death Valley National Park.

Day 7Yosemite National Park/San Francisco
Catch a glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge on the way into one of America's most popular cities. Opt to take a cable car ride over the steep hills, rent a bike to explore the city on wheels, or set sail into the setting sun.
Day 8San Francisco/Calgary
Bid farewell to the States and fly north of the border to Calgary. Opt to meet new members of the group at an evening welcome meeting.
Day 9Calgary/Banff
Discover the beautiful town of Banff; view wildlife, take a gondola ride, or hike up a mountain for spectacular views.
Day 10Banff/Lake Louise
Gaze at the beauty of Lake Louise, and hike to the Agnes Lake Tea House or along the Six Glaciers Trail.
