Cape TownEnjoy an included hike to the top of Table Mountain, taking in the views of the city bowl, peninsula, and Robben Island. In the evening have dinner at the Waterfront, or one of the great restaurants in the city.

Table Mountain Hike

Hike up one of the world's most recognizable mountains, Table Mountain. Rise early to meet your guide for a transfer to the start of the hike. Wind your way up the mountain, stopping regularly to take in the surrounding views of the city, Atlantic coast, and Table Bay. Take note of the changing vegetation on the mountain - a highlight of this trek. Once reaching the summit there are stunning panoramic views. Make your way down to the base of the mountain via the cable way.

Ascent: 700m (2,297 ft)

Cape Town/OudtshoornTravel into the Klein Karoo on the famous Route 62. Opt to enjoy a wine tasting along the way.

Set off on a 23km (14.3 mi) hike along Tugela Gorge in Royal Natal National Park. It is touted by some as the best one-day hike in South Africa for its spectacular scenery of mountains, forest, a river, and a waterfall. Meandering along the Tugela River for 11km (6.8 mi), the path then crosses the river along some boulders and eventually leads to Tugela Falls, debatably the second highest waterfall in the world.

You will be on the move a lot, so our advice is to pack as lightly as possible.
